Kent Drama Association

The Kent Drama Association was established in 1935, to run amateur drama festivals in Kent and to help local amateur drama groups with training and education.

The association has run a full-length play festival for many years - for details of the next Festival in Spring 2010, see the Festivals page.

KDA has occasionally organised or publicised workshops as alternatives to the more extensive courses offered by other organisations, and to enable members of similar societies to meet and share their experience.

The Committee welcomes suggestions for extending the Association's activities to include areas of amateur drama that are not adequately covered by other organisations.

NODA (The National Operatic and Dramatic Association) offers a nationwide forum for amateur operatic and dramatic societies, and facilities such as professional training courses and discounts on insurance and supplies.

amdram.co.uk A main source of information for amateur drama groups, including databases of groups and productions, reviews, wanted/for sale advertisements from societies and companies, and a discussion forum.

amateurdramatic.co.uk A site offering "A unique reference point on great advice for anyone running, or interested in joining, an amateur drama group."
